How To Coping Up With Celiac Emotionally! Without Driving Yourself Crazy

Today I was disappointed when I read a Facebook post by a teenager. She has been on a gluten-free diet for last 3 months, and within these months she feels so disheartened, she felt bad that she could not eat the poori and the chaane made in the kanjak these Navratri. She said being a celiac is a curse!!

I know it’s hard coping up with the disease but feel blessed girl, it’s just a celiac and no life-threatening disease. You can eat whatever you like. I make everything my son wants to enjoy. He lavished the poori chaane too, this Navratri, along with the yummy Halwa.

From snacks to the best of the lunch menu, dinner, and desserts I make at home. And now the world is so aware of this disease, the availability of gluten-free food has increased. In Delhi, you have many restaurants shops, and home bakers delivering gluten free foods. They are just a call away!! What you love you get to eat!!!

A gluten-free diet definitely puts one on the road to recovery, but some people take time!! “Why me?” is the first thing that kills from inside, leading to depression, embarrassment, anxiety, and stress. To deal with all these, the most of all you need is YOU!! Self-help is the best help!!

First and foremost is BE POSITIVE: celiac is not life-threatening, so just feel blessed. Despite being serious, it's much manageable. Think of the food you can eat. Your diet is the healthiest!! Learn all the things about the disease, get attached to the groups on social media. It helps you boost your self-confidence while facing the world with a gluten-free diet.

Stay active: exercise is the best stress buster. Just a simple walk, or cycling, or make a sports class will help. Be active that will boost up your mental level.

Talking to family and friends: they are your support. talking with others help releaseypur stress and find your comfort with them.

Writing: write down all your good and the bad phases. It helps to clear up the mind, unburdening yourself. It helps you understand your problems and finding a better solution. Share them with the groups, family, and caretakers. Or share with me on my Facebook page @rozanaglutenfree

“After many years of living in the bubble of discomfort, people forget to live the moments of well-being”

Remember

It’s you, who can bring the change for you!!
