Ghujias Gluten-Free

Sugar syrup dripping Ghujias, Holi and color are the best combinations of spreading the atmosphere of togetherness and happiness. But this time because of the corona pandemic, it was less of color, but we tried not to compromise the taste. I made crisp and flavorful Ghujias with delightful sweet filling this Holi, to let D relish every moment of this festival!! Delve into succulent homemade gluten-free ghujias with the same Heavenly yummy taste!!!

Ingredients

Gluten-free Maida: ¾ cup (Wheafree Maida type binder)

Gluten-free corn flour:1/4 cup (Gluten-free corn flour by Wheafree)

Olive oil: for frying+ 2 tbsp

Khoya homemade: 1 cup

Nuts: cashew, almonds, raisins

Sugar granulated: 1 cup + ¼ cup

Water: ½ cup

Method

Make the sugar syrup by boiling water and sugar to it. Boil and simmer for 5 mins and keep aside.

Mix the khoya and sugar according to your taste and add then nuts. You can add grated coconut if you like, but D doesn’t like it.

Make dough using Gf Maida and cornflour adding little water little by little. Adding cornflour makes the GF Maida light and easy to use.

Scoop out walnut size dough. Into your palm and roll it into a small ball. Make all small balls of the dough and roll into small chapati with 3mm thickness.

Take a Ghujia mold and place the rolled chapati on it. Add a small amount of khoya and nut mixture. Press the cap to seal the edges. Remove the excess dough from the side. Unmold the ghujias and keep them onto a damp towel. Ghujias are ready to fry.

Fry the Ghujias on medium flame till it turns light brown.

Dip the Ghujias in the hot sugar syrup for 10 mins. drain out the excess syrup and ready !!!

Enjoy Hot or cold!!!
