Cool and Confident

Though she had a distinction in every subject but clearing entrance examination was as big feet too. She tried her best, but PMT she did not clear… depressed but no losing hope she tried for the engineering and finally got a call from Kurukshetra University. Everyone in the family was cheerful and excited to go for the final selection. But in her mind, she herself was not motivated to do that. The voice from inside had something else for her. She had always been on her own steps for her studies, and when it's not from your heart and soul, you cannot accept that. So, she could not go further with that decision and she denied the engineering offer.  

Wanting to go by her rules, she looked on to the other options and discussed her career with everyone around. And one fine day, she was introduced to biotechnology prospects by one of her uncles. Biotechnology at that time was nearly a new course introduced in the colleges and in high demand. Her parents were totally convinced and made her sit for the entrance exam. After taking the exam, attending the orientation for the course, meeting the professors, and taking a tour of the college, she herself was inclined to the subject and her college life got rolling…

Pelczar, Lehninger, C.B. Powar, Watson and Crick, all the best books that made her go more and more deeply into the subject knowledge. Masti Mazak ghumna phirna for her continued not leaving behind her love(books).  

“Attitude toh pura tha, looks bhi buri nahi thi, and padhai toh badiya thi hi”. For her, she was the best she was confident, cool and her friend circle added to her confidence and power. The all-girls gang, the college life was delightful and entertaining with every in the world. Movies, shopping, food, night stays, picnics, stage shows, sports events, everything she enjoyed and the three years passed away with the blink of an eye. 

Within that same blink, she had grasped all the big books. Self-teaching, independent learning had made her knowledge grow and get a hold of her subjects. Biotechnology was now all in her mind. Rapid growth and expansion of biotechnology industries and research work in the country made her more passionate about her biotechnology career. 

So, with the same high spirit and confidence, she continued her studies in Masters in biotechnology. But this time she life was to change...
