U-Turn

M.Phil. padte padte her daughter was born and while doing her Ph.D. her son was born. A blessed life, a complete family, now with her doctorate degree, she wanted to touch the sky. With the support of her family, she had grown wonderfully during her struggle years,  and now she wanted to get some fruits of that. Proud and confident she opted for a job as a professor in a college. Passing her knowledge to her students and managing her family life was going well. Work and life balance were beautifully maintained. Fun trips, official and family gatherings, personal time, everything was like a smooth sailing boat. She had growth plans for her future and was super dedicated to working while happily handling her kids and family.

After one year while her promotion was due in the college, while taking the lecture, she got a call from her home, that her son is not well. She rushed back home, as her son had a severe stomach ache. And those were the days, her life took a U-turn.

Her son was detected with celiac disease, an allergy to gluten. All his food had to be gluten-free now, separate food has to be prepared for him. Even a molecule of gluten would harm his health. So she had to leave her job and be with his son to fulfill all his food requirements.

Job, promotion, professorship, studies, lectures…. everything sunk… her life had a new role altogether, be a mom to help his son pass this difficult phase of life.

Leaving her desire for the sky, she was all grounded. Now a Housewife, she did everything for her son and all time was family time. Making separate food for her son and the rest of the family, kept her busy all day. No time for herself, she entered the phase of “we” from “me”, as it was about her family every second, every moment…

She missed her first love but the priority was her son, but as pehla pyar toh pehla hi hota hai, she found her way out, to be with them again and forever…..

 To be continued…
